\n\n(follow-up on ticket #3260\, now closed)\n\nthe extensions pages seem
to not be localized. Ex: coming from the FR main site (https://fr.libreoff
ice.org/) using an FR OS and browser\, you get an English-speaking extensi
ons website (path: Découvrir > Modèles et extensions\, LibreOffice Exten
sions link). The FR user is then dropped at: https://extensions.libreoffic
e.org/ where everything is in English.\n\nThis behaviour refrains many non
-EN speaking people to simply browse pages they don't understand.\n\nFor i
nstance\, are there FR-localized extensions pages? The referenced ticket a
bove suggests there are\, but I couldn't find any. Adding /fr to the main
extensions URL is accepted but everything remains in EN.\n\nBest\,\n-- \nJ

n\nHi again\,\n\nAn extension author might want/need to enter a (new) exte
nsion information progressively. That is\, s-he might not have time to ent
er all and every details at once.\n\nAs I understand things\, once you sta
rt creating an extension\, you've got to go the whole process route\, othe
rwise you may lose the previously entered details. For instance\, I may cr
eate an extension infrastructure but not add the .oxt file yet. As of curr
ent process\, this doesn't stop the (inexistant) "extension" to be updated
from the 'Draft' status to 'Published'. Thus the UI is... well... "strang
e": users can read a description but there's nothing to download.\n\n\nAs
an author\, I'd prefer having the following states: 'Draft' (remains as su
ch as long as the author decides) -> 'Ready' (the administrator is allowed
to check and publish) -> 'Published'\n\n\nBest\,\n-- \nJean-Francois Nife

 rmal\nAssignee: Xisco Fauli Tarazona\nTarget version: Q1/2022\n\nWhen deal
ing with regressions\, it turns out to be somewhat difficult for one devel
oper to see all their regressions in a list.\n\nUsually when QA finds and
bibisects a regression\, they add a comment saying "Adding CC to: Jane Doe
" and add the developer to CC. Filtering for such is possible\, but unreli
able. Sometimes the bibisect is a false positive\, but since comments cann
ot be edited\, the "Adding CC to:" keeps the bug in the filter results.\nS
ometimes this commment is missing\, although the bug was properly bibisect
ed to be a regression.\nRecently I tried to make lists of all regressions
by all our developers and ran into the above issues.\n\nTo make searching
for "regressions by someone" more reliable I'd like to propose adding a ne
w field to bug pages\, named "Regression By" (or something similar). This
would be an email type field\, that could be added to regression bugs.

eSQL maintains a Write-ahead log (WAL)\, which is a record of transactions
that can be "replayed" on top of an older backup to recover data.\n\nBarm
an is an application for physical backups of PostgreSQL servers that manag
es base backups and WAL archiving.\n\nFeatures include:\n\n* Retention pol
 icies (e.g. `recovery window of 30 days` or `redundancy 3`:\n* GPL3\n* Deb
ian inclusion\n* Backed by a company affiliated with core PostgreSQL devel
opment\n* Focuses on backup/recovery procedures\n* Promotes testing backup
s\n* Geographical redundancy reduces single points of failure (e.g. backup
/prod being in the same datacenter).\n\n\nA reasonable way to start modell
ing disaster recovery architecture is to design\na couple of possible arch
itectures in respect to PostgreSQL and Barman\, such as\nevaluating the pr
os and cons of:\n\n* Same-data-center backups\n* Different data center bac
kups in the same metropolitan area\n* Different data center backups\n\nEva
luate the single points of failure (SPOF) of the system\, with a cost-bene
fit analysis.\n\nHaving said this\, a very common setup for Barman is to b
e installed in the same data center where the PostgreSQL servers are. In t
his case\, the single point of failure is the data center. Fortunately\, t
he impact of such a SPOF can be alleviated thanks to two features that Bar
man provides to increase the number of backup tiers.\n\nPlanning for disk
space is important: Plan the required disk space based on the size of the
cluster\, number of WAL files generated per day\, frequency of backups\, a
nd retention policies.\n\nPlan for having an identical recovery environmen
t that are as similar as possible\, if not identical\, to the original ser
ver. Doing so eases burdens of maintenance.\n\nStreaming backup is recomme
nded from PostgreSQL 9.4 or higher and is easier to set up.

because (for whatever reason) my browser refuses to store credentials for
the TDF SSO infrastructure.\n\nCan we bump that up to say a month\, or yea

previous bugzilla was much longer.\n\nOf course\, on the plus side it is f

et badgered for one bit of infrastructure\, hence forgetting to file this
 for a long time.\n\nThanks !

1\n\nMirrorBrain has served us well but is unfortunately no longer develop
ed\, so these shortcomings are unlikely to be fixed:\n* Dependency on lega
cy GeoIP databases\, which are no longer updated hence will be less and le
ss accurate over time (meaning folks might be redirected to a mirror on th
e other side of the world and rightfully complain about slow downloads)\n*
Clients connecting via TLS might be redirected to an http:// mirror\n* Cl

mirrorbits . We need to investigate if it plays well with our tooling\, i

6.0\, create help packages (Olivier)-\n\n* -From LO 6.0 onwards\, offline
and online help will be displayed in the user's browser\, for better rende
ring-\n\n* -Update XHP spec for additional sections\, so that some can be
used in online help\, and others for books (Mike and Olivier)-\n\n* For LO
6.1\, implement an "Edit" button in the online help\, along with login cr
edentials and a user-friendly WYSIWYG editor that saves as XHP (Mike to wo

saves his/her changes\, the editor creates a commit after submission\, whi

verification before integration?) (Mike to work on this)\n\n* Long-term go
al for LO 6.2: extend XHP for merging with the books (eg sections or marku
 p) - maybe even generate new guidebooks from that content. Add an editor p
review mode - eg show how changes will look in the context of other help s
ections or a book\n\n* Another long-term goal: add "Search Ask" bar to onl
ine help interface\n\n* SEO\n** avoid double questions on Ask\n** categori

 * SEO not everything: is stuff online\, should it be? tagging answers on A
