Make a catchy video explaining what LibreOffice is, what it does, and with call to actions at the end (download and donate). Script points:

  • LO has everything you need in a full-featured office suite... (Writer, Calc etc.)
  • It's built on truly open standards, such as ODF, so you always have full control of your data
  • Available in XX languages, used by millions around the world in homes, offices and governments
  • It's completely open source, so you can study how it works and customise it
  • Built by a worldwide community, and commercial support is also available

First draft of script:

THIS IS LIBREOFFICE

LibreOffice is a fully-featured office suite including all the tools you need to get your work done quickly and efficiently.

Writer, the word processor, lets you create complex and attractive documents with its powerful styles system.

Calc is packed with professional features and built-in functions to help you manage spreadsheets with ease.

Impress is an outstanding tool for creating rich and effective presentations, to really get your message across.

Draw lets you produce anything from quick sketches and diagrams to complex plans and leaflets.

In addition, LibreOffice includes other valuable tools like Base, a database front-end, and Math for editing equations and formulas.

LibreOffice is built around the Open Document Format, a fully open and standardised file format that guarantees access to your data forever. But it can also open and save proprietary files from other office software.

And even with all these features, LibreOffice is completely free to use, share and modify. It's open source, so anyone can help to improve the suite and add new features.

And thousands of people have done so: LibreOffice is developed and supported by a worldwide community, and it's available in XXX languages, helping to bridge digital divides across the globe.

Tens of millions of people use LibreOffice every day, in homes, schools, workplaces and government departments. And for companies that want to switch to LibreOffice, commercial support and migration assistance is available.

So try it today: join us at www.libreoffice.org, download the latest version, and get productive with open source, open standards, and full control of your data.

No negative feedback from marketing-priv so I will redo the audio here (Bubli said she could do some voiceovers) and then make it official.

Made public now. Bubli did a good effort with the audio but it would need some changes and re-recording, so I've chosen the original audio to get this job done. Will work with Bubli when we have more time to do audio for 5.2 New Feature videos.
