Description

It looks as if OpenGrok has not seen an Update for a long time, we should update it.

History

OpenGrok 1.0 has been released recently: https://github.com/OpenGrok/OpenGrok/releases/tag/1.0

  • Status changed from New to In Progress

Still working on migrating gimli; latest OpenGrok (and Tomcat8) release have been deployed to the new host already.

Any status update on that?

From the preliminary agenda of today's infra call:

PENDING gimli migrated to vm201, all services are now prod-ready except OpenGrok (reindexing due to 1.0 upgrade, been groking at full load since Thu Jul 13 19:30 UTC already, not sure when that will finish)

Turns out it finished 1h30 ago (so full indexing took slightly over 4.5 days…) \o/

I'll now update the DNS records to point to vm201 but keep the old instance alive for a while in case it's not working as expected.

It should be live now (with a temporary http://https:// redirection which I'll make permanent once we deprecate the old instance). Setting the the status to "feedback" as custom TDF patches didn't apply anymore; I manually adapted the CSS and removed the superseded patches as well as patches that were applied upstream, but it's quite possible that I forgot something.

Looks as if this can be closed now?

Yes, thanks for fixing this!
Will create a new issue when the next OpenGrok version is out :)
