Task #2173
closedInstall GNOME's Bugzilla anti-spam solution
100%
Description
Found in this report: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1306750
Here is the extension: https://git.gnome.org/browse/bugzilla-gnome-org-customizations/tree/extensions/AntiSpam?h=production
Updated by Beluga Beluga over 7 years ago
This could also be tested: https://github.com/mozilla-bteam/bmo/tree/master/extensions/LimitedEmail
Probably it needs modifications in use 5.10.1; to change to a lower version in Config.pm and Extension.pm.
It works for Khronos Group. No idea how it works exactly, but curious to try.

I noticed this in the extension:
Users with editbugs are excempt from AntiSpam protection
This has to be tweaked for us, because we put all registered users to editbugs!

So, I guess we just need to remove line 50: return if $user->in_group('editbugs'); ?

What's the status of this? Deployed? Pending? It's marked Urgent and has been open for quite some time, thus asking... ;-)
I put it in bugzilla-test but I haven't deeply tested it so some more work needs to be done before moving it to production. I don't understand why it's urgent though.

Deployed in https://bugzilla-test.documentfoundation.org. Tested with the word 'garmin' (uppercase/lowercase) and it's working. Asking cloph to deploy it in production

- Status changed from In Progress to Resolved

Could you please explain how that works?
I see a lot of spam at https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84837
Is there a way to lock / disable changing a bug in Bugzilla?
I wish Closed was for that but it's not: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/page.cgi?id=faq.html#q7
Or to have a link for admins for one-click disable user as spammer?
And other link to automatically report spammer to Google if gmail.

Xisco will look at solving the comment spam during FOSDEM hackfest.

First try here -> https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/plugins/gitiles/bugzilla/+/0d6a23daeeae583b2500e2cae7a86acaaa1ef522
I'll ask guilhem tomorrow to put it in production to see how it goes

Guilhem improved the extension in https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/infra/bugzilla/+/133480 to exclude *(?:documentfoundation|libreoffice)\.org links
