Description

It would be good to have a single, easy to access and navigate repository of documents that really show off the features in LibreOffice. This could be in Nextcloud / the wiki.

Developers often have complex documents/spreadsheets that they use for developing and testing new features (as per the release notes). But we could ask the wider marketing community, or indeed all LibreOffice users, for contributions (we must make it clear that the docs will be public and Creative Commons).

We might be too short on time for that, but maybe we can publish a set of these shortly after the 5.4 release?
Otherwise, maybe aim for Q4 as deadline for the then-upcoming 6.0?

You're right -- I forget that we're already in Q3! Bumping to Q4 as it'll take a while to build up the docs before we announce it.

Got this moving: sent out a call for documents to marketing-priv@, marketing@ and projects. Hopefully I'll get enough documents (say, 10) to make a decent wiki page for them before the Christmas break.

Unfortunately nobody from the community has sent me anything yet, although someone recommended I look at existing templates. In the meantime I've put out a request on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/libreoffice/comments/7jz2ge/share_your_documents_to_show_off_libreoffice/

Ultimately nobody sent me anything, neither from the mailing list request or Reddit post, so I don't have anything to work with here. I could still try to hunt down documents across the web, if we think this task is really important -- otherwise shall we close/reject it as one of those things that just didn't work out, and maybe revisit the idea a later time?

My proposal is to leave this ticket open for anyone who wants to take it - but given the current priorities we have, I don't think you coming up with documents (unless there's a specific need for a concrete marketing collateral) is a good use of time indeed.
