I didn't find any option in first place to make it read-only
Is this the first time spam occured in the forum, or is this a repeated
problem?

Just the first time, but I suppose this won't be the last unless we delete the forum, but it'd be nice to keep the discussions.

Turns out if I disable the forum, it's hidden, but the content not gone
Would that be an option, given the content is old?
