Proposal sent to developers, with mixed feedbacks but very few reactions. We need to get more attention, especially if we are going to have automatic updates in the future (unless the "donate" mechanism can be migrated to the new update mechanism). I suggest adding this topic to the agenda of a board meeting, in order to get the necessary attention at least from developers sitting in the BoD.

The new incremental update process includes the possibility of adding a web link, in order to have the user redirected to the donate page once the download process has started. We must talk to Markus before going live with the new process.

Can you poke him, so we can outline a plan and timeline? Fundraising is a priority, so we should expedite things

Poked Markus twice, but no answer so far. Maybe, the issue should be raised at ESC level, now that they share the agenda in advance. I will have a look at the shared agenda, and see if I can add the item this week.

I think Kendy wrote a patch to that effect and it will be in 6.1. Can you check with Cloph (who IMHO has set the hub redirection for it)? I guess this ticket can be closed actually, but want this confirmed :-)
