Task #2601
closedNextcloud splashscreen borked
0%
Description
Was just checking out the new Nextcloud instance at <https://nextcloud.documentfoundation.org/> and saw that there's a first time splash-screen with some borked HTML-code (at least in my localized version). I have not been able to find this text in any of my translation files (LO & Nextcloud), so I guess it comes from the person setting up the LO-instance. Screenshot attached.
Already sent to the website-ML, where this was considered a rather low priority - but is filed here as a reminder.

Newer Nextcloud versions seem to support adding imprint and privacy policy directly via settings with the original theme
Rolling back to that theme and instead using these configuration options might solve the problem, Guilhem?

Ah, I didn't realize it was released already :-)
AFAICT logged in users don't see the privacy & impressum links in the footer. Shared documents that are opened by the browser don't show the link, either: https://nextcloud.documentfoundation.org/s/yFgWwmD8RcRoYMz . (It works if you open it with curl
, but the browsers opens the PDF and the inbuilt PDF viewer hides the footer.) Fine for other documents, on the other hand: https://nextcloud.documentfoundation.org/s/gtA7Gr3FQtwdccJ .
Is that acceptable? Should I leave it like this or revert to our custom theme?

What does our custom theme do differently?

Fair enough, it wasn't better AFAICT :-) Thus closing this ticket now.
