Description

Last year we did an "AMA" on Reddit, which was very successful:

Let's do another one for the release of LO 6.1. My proposal would be one or two days after the release, but Italo, what do you think?

Ideally, we'd have the following people available to answer questions:

  • Me
  • A TDF spokesperson (Florian/Italo)
  • Someone from the board (Michael? Thorsten?)
  • Someone from design (Heiko)
  • Someone from QA (Xisco)
  • Someone from NLPs (Sophie)
  • Some developers

I've proposed the idea in the team call and there are no objections - everyone should be around. So the plan is to do it on the day after the release (Thursday August 9). If the release slips for any reason, we can just bump this too, as it won't be pre-announced.

Now I'll check with some devs and board members to see if they can make it too.

Although this one didn't get as many comments as the previous one, it had almost three times as many views (27,000 vs 10,000), thanks to the moderators stickying the post to the top of the /r/linux subreddit. So I think this worked well. Closing now.
