when we do a next AMA, we should add hint/banner to the downlaod page to further announce it..

Sounds like a good idea, but we have to be careful to mention that the Reddit AMA is for discussing the release. Otherwise we may just get loads of people signing up to Reddit and posting support questions about downloading/installing...
Something like "Redditors! Chat with the community about this new release here"
Or something like that?

Good point - I'd leave the wording for you, but indeed would phrase it
in a way it attracts people familiar with Reddit and not random support
