Description

At FOSDEM, Adam Kovacs gave a quick lightning talk about his coding work. He also showed his blog, which is has a series of newbie-friendly posts explaining how to build LibreOffice and make changes to the source code:

https://libreoffice.blog.hu

I've experimented a bit with Google Translate, and I think I can translate them into English without too many issues. They could be a good way to get new developers on board.

  • Status changed from New to In Progress

I used a translate tool and did some copy editing on a post last week, and have put it online now:

https://blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2019/06/03/start-developing-libreoffice-registering-with-git-and-gerrit-and-local-settings/

I'll do the rest before the end of the month, to tick this task off in Q2 as planned.

I translated the second guide: https://blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2019/06/12/start-developing-libreoffice-download-the-source-code-and-build-on-linux/

That leaves one more to go (building on Windows): https://libreoffice.blog.hu/2018/12/04/fejlesztoi_libreoffice_letoltese_es_telepitese_windowson

I'll translate it today and post it next week, then this ticket is done.
