Description

Only moderators can publish an extension right now. But a) there is no clue what extension is in draft status and requires input, and b) moderation slows down the workflow. Ultimately the creator of the extension is responsible for the content and I would turn the workflow around and block post-hoc in case of issues.

I support that everybody can publicate his extensions this would be the big benefit between old and new.

We decided to keep the moderated workflow but have a list of trustees that can publish directly. The first issue regarding the unclear status is covered by other tickets (and "Draft" or "Modified" is shown as long the extension is not published).

didn't get around to have a nice solution for it, but at least Heiko as full admin can add people to the group "Extension Maintainers → Extension Publishers" (security → groups → add members)
