Task #3246
openTask #2952: Evaluate Discourse
Discourse to mailing list bridge
0%
Description
- New comers don't like mailing list and prefer to use web based to tools. (current trend)
- Mailing lists users mostly prefer mailing lists
To join both POV and meet everyone expectations, bridging discourse with mlmmj is the way to go. Hopefully, there is are tool for this. The page feature (https://www.discourse.org/features) mentions at the end "Mailing list support". We need to retest this (the last time I deployed Discourse in corporate environments was at the end of 2017).
And those of us using matrix, mattermost, whatever, could also use mailing lists as well.

Discourse is evaluated to replace Ask actually. Nabble replacement will be treated once the migration from Ask to another tool will be done.

Understood ;)
Hence the fact I created this subtask for this use case (don't know if this is the way to go, to create dependencies between tasks).
