Description

e.g. https://owncloud.documentfoundation.org/Common/Website/2013_Website_Redesign

Please let me know if I may be of help in getting this fixed -- I can re-generate a new public url for the 'Common' folder via the 'libreoffice' user if that would expedite things:

Priority -> HIGH

Community members are trying to use the public redirect to share files, but are not able to.

Joel, Robinson: One of you created the shared folder in first place, IIRC with a user called "libreoffice". Can you check if it's still shared, and attach the shared URL to this ticket? I can't look this up myself, as I don't have access to the user who shared the folder :)

Looks like the sharing for the group 'users' persisted, but the public url got dropped (perhaps during an upgrade?)

I re-enabled the public sharing url. Here's what we should use in the redirect:

Thanks

Maybe that was related to the update to OC6, not sure if it worked
afterwards

Should be working again now, can you confirm?

We also have shared folders for "marketing" and "common". Was it also
you who shared them?

Ah, okay. Perhaps a bug/limitation in the upgrade process.

It doesn't appear to be working for me. Here are my notes on how the redirect should be formatted:

The "Common/" folder is the top-level folder for the team-level folders (e.g. 'QA', 'Website', 'Design', 'Marketing', etc..). I'm not sure I know about a separate shared marketing folder.

hmmm... what happens if you open
http://owncloud.documentfoundation.org/shared ? It works like a charm
for me here.

The "Common/" folder is the top-level folder for the team-level folders
(e.g. 'QA', 'Website', 'Design', 'Marketing', etc..). I'm not sure I
know about a separate shared marketing folder.

What I lack insight to is who shared the "common" folder, i.e. where it
should redirect to. Seems the old link isn't working anymore either.

Public redirect is working properly for me now. To make sure that we don't run into this problem in the future, it would be helpful if we could implement some kind of automatic monitoring system, as described in issue #376.
