Task #3805
openDate format used on Ask is bad
0%
Description
See https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=164173
The problem is, that on Ask site, the dates shown at each post use some badly chosen format. They neither follow the user's locale, nor best practices. For very recent posts, they would show something like "13m" (which IMO is the least problematic of all the varieties used on the site); this year's posts would be like "Aug 23", and the earlier posts would be like "Aug '23", with the apostrophe being the only visual difference. I myself saw the complaints of users, who don't clearly see what those "dates" should tell them.
The request is to configure the dates to be normal ISO dates, or, if it's not available in Discourse, then to create this option / file a request to them.
