Task #3830
closedWiki: Authentication (account creation) fails ("Auto-creation of a local account failed: Your IP address is listed as an open proxy in the DNSBL […]")
0%
Description
When trying to authenticate to https://wiki.documentfoundation.org, an error occurs as soon as I click "Log in" and there is no working form:
Auto-creation of a local account failed: Your IP address is listed as an open proxy in the DNSBL used by The Document Foundation Wiki. You cannot create an account.
In French:
La création automatique d’un compte local a échoué : Votre adresse IP est listée comme mandataire ouvert dans le DNSBL utilisé par The Document Foundation Wiki. Vous ne pouvez pas créer un compte.
This occurs with both browsers which I tried, Mozilla Firefox 138.0.1 and Google Chrome 136.
My IP address is 217.28.26.226, provided by an established Quebec ISP, Oxio (now property of Cogeco). I did not specifically secure that address, but it has been allocated to me for years.

The DNSBL logic was leftover from the time when the wiki had its own sign up handling. SSO has its own antispam logic, so obviously downstream services shouldn't have more restrictive policies. Should work now.

Thank you, it is working very well now.
