Description
Windows users are not as at home with the command line as unix users are. As such a simple UI Wizard to walk through a bibisect would be helpful.
(Assigning to cloph for now as it was budgeted as such for 2014.)

Florian R. will work on this, just had issues with his machine during LibOCon
Currently, nothing needs doing from Cloph's POV
Proposal is that Cloph pokes Florian R. again by next week to see where he stands, to be able to assist with further questions in time; Björn's hard deadline was December 31

We had a couple of emergencies end of last year where Cloph helped out, so this got delayed - reassigning to after FOSDEM and setting priority to normal, as there IMHO is no real urgency between now and then

No urgency at all but when it's started can Cloph poke me on IRC or over email - there are some kinks in the current bibisect that maybe can be fixed while Cloph is digging into it (just maybe). If Cloph says these are separate issues I'll report them separately. Thanks all for the hard work

This is delayed by the infra story. I know end of 2014 was desired. If there's a fixed deadline on that, please let me know and we need to find another solution, otherwise Cloph should look into this when the infra story is done

Per suggestion, chatted with mjayfrancis about possibility of working on Python-based UI. He's working on other bibisect-related topics right now, and doesn't seem that interested. Perhaps Florian R. might have some interest, especially if we have mentor/guidance for him on Python programming.

Sounds like there are still speed issues on Windows that affect even the command-line use of git. Testing on a pretty beefy machine there is a noticeable lag running checkouts in a win10 VM vs. an Ubuntu VM, so a lower-spec'd machine would undoubtedly show an even worse disparity between the OSes. Maybe we just need to strongly suggest a min hardware spec for testing on windows?
