The use of tablets and smartphones has increased very much.
It would be nice to have something like https://m.wiki.documentfoundation.org/ as equivalent to http://en.m.wikipedia.org/

Actually, that feature exists. If you go to the wiki e.g. at
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/index.php?title=TDF/BoD_Budget&mobileaction=toggle_view_mobile
(link at the bottom) it should show a mobile view. That used to work in
the past, so it seems to be a bug it doesn't anymore.

Two things:
- It does not work on my smartphone (Android with Chrome) nor on my desktop. Displays just empty pages. This part is a bug.
- My imagination was an automatic regognition of the system as wikipedia does. This part is still a feature request.

http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Mantle is (temporarily) needed for Extension:MobileFrontend. Sadly this (Extension:Mantle) needs php5.3
mbstring (another prerequisite) is already activated.
