Creating a directory on GitHub.
2
1. To be added to the project
3
- create an account on GitHub
4
- ask Sophie to be added to the LO/OmegaT group
5
6
2. Adding your language directory
7
- you need to have svn installed on your computer
8
- check out the repository using subversion:
9
svn co https://github.com/LibreOffice/OmegaT
10
11
- enter OmegaT/trunk and create the xx directory where xx is your language code
12
mkdir xx
13
14
- download and unzip
15
lo-guides-lang-template.zip, which you can get from
16
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/xast59mptyxmj0u/AAC_jDmdALFrqUyShx1rzCOIa?dl=0
17
18
- change <target_lang>SK</target_lang> for <target_lang>XX</target_lang>
19
in the LOGuides/omegat.project file, where XX is your language code
20
gedit LOGuides/omegat.project
21
22
- copy the LOGuides and LOGuides-graphic into the OmegaT/trunk/xx directory
23
24
- add your language (xx is your language code) repository to svn
25
svn add xx
26
(if you do not want the odg files with screenshots, either delete
27
LOGuides-graphics or do not add it to svn. They however may help, since
28
except for screenshots there are also some drawings)
29
30
- you may try to open the project in OmegaT now (do not do that prior to
31
'svn add', since OmegaT will create a few files, which should not be
32
stored in the repository)
33
34
- commit your language project (xx is your language code)
35
svn commit -m "xx project added"
36
37
3. Working in OmegaT
38
39
- Open the project from Omegat, replace xx by your language code in the URL:
40
* use Project -> Download team project
41
* enter "https://github.com/LibreOffice/OmegaT/trunk/xx/LOGuides" in the
42
Repository URL Box and hit tab - if OK, OmegaT will detect repository type and confirm that it is a subersion repository just below the field.
43
* enter name of the work folder (or create it - do not use the original
44
which you have used to check out by subversion)
45
* Hit 'OK'. OmegaT in its lower left corner shows progress
46
- start translating.
47
48
The next steps are:
49
- create glossary with GUI translation
50
- create tmx files from old translations to reuse them
51
- have everything translated by "google translate" to save a lot of typing
