[2] Gerrit: Install and configure gerrit-oauth-plugin to enable GitHub- and Google-OAuth2 providers
0%
Description
Years ago, I've spent many months of my spare free time to implement OAuth-Gerrit-Core
Extension point and implemented gerrit-oauth plugin against it to support:
- GitHub
- Bitbucket
OAuth2 providers.
Other Gerrit sites, wie here https://review.cyanogenmod.org/ using this plugin for years,
without any issues.
I have filed this infra issue to configure and verify the plugin on staging gerrit-test instance: [1].
This ticket was pending for months and closed with the refeerence to this issue: [2], where the
upgrade shoud take place.
The actual gerrit upgrade issues was closed months ago without installing the plugin,
because the configuration from the first issue was only created for test-OAuth2-sites, but not
production sites.
It's clear to me, that Infra team is very busy instance and that it's too much to expect,
that someone just spend 15 mintes to configure and install the plugin ASAP:
Here my estimation/plan:
- 5 minutes configure GitHub OAuth2 site
- 5 minutes configure Google OAuth2 site
- 5 install the plugin
It would be nice, if we could plan the plugin installation in 2017 - 2020 period.
Thanks.
