Task #2554
closedupdate donation infographic for 2017
0%
Description
We have an infographic (attached to the ticket) which shows how donations were used to improve LibreOffice/TDF in 2016. I will update it for things that happened in 2017.
Some sections can remain the same (eg "Pay a small team...") while others can be replaced. I'll ask on marketing-priv@ for ideas.
It's not a big job and I'd like to get it done by the end of this month, so setting target as Q1.

Looks good to me!
Wrt. the Dashboard, this technically has been online for a longer amount
of time already. Did we highlight this with the 2016 graphic already?
And if it's not too late, maybe we can emphasize knowledge sharing and
volunteer inclusion/community growth a bit more?

No, it wasn't in the 2016 infographic. I was using this blog post as a reference: https://blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2017/08/02/dashboard-announcement/
"Berlin, August 2nd, 2017 – Effective immediately, The Document Foundation offers a transparent overview of LibreOffice development with the announcement of a Dashboard"
That's why I thought it was new :-)
And if it's not too late, maybe we can emphasize knowledge sharing and
volunteer inclusion/community growth a bit more?
Sure, if we can link it to donations. Can you think of any donation money we spent in this regard? Like, did we support any other events or conferences?

Fair enough then. :)

Maybe Italo can compile something out of our event list. Hackfests come
to mind as prime sample.

LO_donate_infographic_2017_v2.pdf attached, with a mention of sharing knowledge in the Hackfest section, in the top-left.
Do we think this is ready ti embed into the donate page now, and share in other places?
Updated by Mike Saunders almost 6 years ago
I've sent v2 to the team list for feedback -- if there are no changes, I'll embed it into the donate page and spread the word later in the week.

OK, no further feedback so I've integrated it into the donate page and will promote it tomorrow (to not clash with the release that's planned for today):
