If not already in the docs, this should be noted for gerrit (quoting from an old email).
vm2 - start /usr/lib/git-core/git-daemon --verbose --reuseaddr --base-path=/home/gerrit/gerrit_lo/git/, which today is apparently done via runsv using the 'run' command found in /etc/sv/git-daemon/run, which I believe is somehow invoked automatically on boot because it is listed in /etc/service/*
