Description

Only excluding the large logging tables would be preferrable, if easily doable.

Otherwise exclude all of piwik from the daily backups - piwik's data isn't critical for us, but the backup of the large tables impacts other services.

So if it is not a big effort, it would be nice to exclude the log tables from backup (see below), but still backup the archived reports.

piwik_log_action
piwik_log_conversion
piwik_log_conversion_item
piwik_log_link_visit_action
piwik_log_profiling
piwik_log_visit

If that's not easily doable, just exclude the complete piwik database from the backup to avoid any downtimes of the services caused by mysql-load during a backup.

Alin, can you have a look at this? Thanks! ;)

It seems this didn't help. :-( Got a Nagios notification again, at the very same time the full backup runs.
Alin, for verification purposes, is it possible that you disable the complete MySQL backup on kermit for one night?

That has solved the problem indeed for the moment
Let's continue discussion in #138 to see if we can fix the problem in a way that backups work again
Thanks a lot, Alin
