Another meeting with Brazilians team in April 16 and April 23.
This project is taking off, under recipe suggested by Sophie and Milos Sramek (OmegaT + GitHub)
Next: Need to coordinate the book writing team in English

With Q2 being over, can you give us an update on where we stand?
What I've taken from the last calls is that this is more tedious than expected and we're currently working on improving outreach in all projects (doc, marketing, infra etc.), but I'd like to hear an update specifically on documentation

Cloph: we can't link everything on the same page
→ want a "portal" page as entry point (similar to old OOo page http://web.archive.org/web/20111201070724/http://www.openoffice.org/ )
→ fat buttons to different sections (Olivier: currently only focus is on download), Navigation links not prominent enough

Florian: download page currently in the works -> we can do (small) changes to this still

Florian: how about having one button that is rotating to different parts of the project

Florian: how about adding graphics to the website menu? (unsure how that pans out for the mobile view)
Cloph: the only difference between pt-br and our website is the graphical buttons instead of text links
need to be localized/nl-projects need different set of links (not all documentation available in all languages)
=> goal of all this: improve documentation download rate
Cloph could get some Piwik statistics out of that

website update: nothing for 2016

Cloph: doesn't think navigation is too bad [but maybe suffers from daily use of the website just as Florian], but supports visual elements added to make grasping the website easier
Mike: informing people after/while downloading about manuals sounds worthwhile
Mike: how about adding a link to the manuals/user guides in the actual LibreOffice menu item
Florian: adoption is often delayed, so we could modify also the help wiki sidebar itself
Olivier: not happy with that, the help wiki is not the best means of getting help
landing page on documentation, with language detection and showing available documents -> possibly showing user's language
- People don't feel stimulated to participate
Olivier: Doc'n requires long time and concentration, it cannot be done lightly
Olivier :Deep knowledge of LibreOffice and discipline for writing
Olivier: How to make it fun for people to contribute? -> this is a project wide problem, cf. call scheduled for next week
Sophie: very few participants in the English speaking community, people feel more comfortable in their native language
Florian: Which languages are the most active? -> Sophie: possibly Italian or French, but also lots of content in Spanish and Portuguese
Olivier: channelling of content is a problem, lots of stuff at YouTube, personal blogs etc.
Olivier: PLANET DOC for LibreOffice (?)to 'planetize' many blogs that discuss LibreOffice Tips&Tricks
Cloph: mailing lists as communication channels might be a problem
Olivier: indeed, our tools are quite outdated
Cloph: Reddit seems to be quite successful
Italian community is quite successful on G+, Sophie knows several communities working on FB
Italo and Eliane both mentioned Slack
rewards: barnstars, interviews, get to the conference, ...+Perceived as not so fun to play with
+Tools used (ODF Authors Plone) not user friendly and is just a repository clumsy to use
Olivier: what other Open Source collaborative platform can we use to generate documents?
Olivier: Alfresco? Owncloud? gitHub?
