I am fostering the work of Jean Spiteri (liongold) on designing a rich text on-line XHP editor for help files.

Some bits of PHP code are already available and needs to be uploaded into a workbench for further developments and demo.

Solution can be

  • a website with tools to control a LAMP environment and upload PHP code in the web root
  • a VM with the same purpose, but then with SSH access (possibly root as well)

For the moment, reasonable memory (2 GB?) and modest disk space (1 GB) will be enough.

Thank you

Thank you Olivier for this. Do you think this should be put in the Infrastructure project? I guess a VM or anything else would be issues from that part of the team.

How urgent is that? Do we need it before Rome/is it related to future of
documentation talk?

I don't know which priority Olivier would like to have on this or what is the content of his talk. On my side, I think it won't be ready to be distributed to the public in time for the conference so I think it can be handled after the conference if there are other priorities. However, I hope this doesn't get pushed out of the task list for a long time.
