CMS issue: 1st level page editing currently impossible
Added by Edmund Laugasson about 2 months ago.
Updated about 2 months ago.
Description
Currently cannot change 1st level page title - CMS (content management system) will immediately jump onto first title at 2nd level. Couldn't find a way to turn off such autojumping from 1st to 2nd level page in CMS.
Tried to translate et.libreoffice.org 1st level page titles.
- Assignee set to Guilhem Moulin
- Project changed from Websites to Infrastructure
- Category set to SilverStripe
- Assignee deleted (
Guilhem Moulin)
Removing myself from assignee as it appears to be a front-end issue. Seems to work for me in any case.
Note that as I wrote last week as a reply to your mail on hostmaster,"Given the upcoming website change I'm not sure it's worth making changes to the old site now". The migration is planned is planned during the remaining of the year and working on Silverstripe at this point is probably a waste of time.

Does this mean, that all content will be deleted when new CMS comes?
Not deleted but likely archived, like we did when we phased out the old design site. And AFAIK the strings will need to be translated again for the new backend. A preview can be found at https://newdesign2.libreoffice.org , and the sources are at https://git.libreoffice.org/infra/libreofficeorg .
Sorry but how this issue assigning works? I don't know people, who is working with. I noticed, that I reported issue but no one does not know or do something.
The Silverstripe-based site is being phased out so I guess people are reluctant to put much work or thougt into it that soon before the migration.
I don't have time to wait as my governmental organization decided to stop localized website and I need to migrate to new one before 2024 year ends.
Understood, then it might be worth spending some time localizing the Estonian site indeed, even though it might cause double work later.
