Description

I tried to use the libreoffice provided jabber/xmpp account from Android/chatsecure from multiple devices, but they only endlessly hang in 'authenticating'.
Is our xmpp setup known to work with chatsecure?

Never tried that one - what sometimes is a problem is that the client
needs to support DNS SRV records, otherwise will try connecting to the
IP of libreoffice.org.

Sometimes routers block those records as well, in OpenWRT (at least
older versions) it's known as "block Windows 2000 requests" or somesuch

If you can explicitly set the host, try xmpp1.hosted.im or xmpp2.hosted.im

using xabber instead, once I unchecked "user defined host" (which talks about srv in the explaination) I am able to use xmpp from Android -- even via Tor.
Thus resolving (though it might help if docs would hint at this).

got it working with xabber once I disabled "user defined host" - even over Tor. thus resolving .might be helpful to have this im the docs though.
