Description
We have certain machines that still are not set up with LVM. If possible without reinstalling, a conversion to LVM with our usual parameters should be applied.
What machines are targeted by this issue ?

Conversion to LVM is very dangerous without reinstalling and generally not advisable, as all files need to be copied to the newly created LVM-partitions.
I'll do this.
We need to schedule downtime for the servers (one by one) and boot them in rescue mode.
Please let me know if there are any preferred times when I can take the machines offline.

in any case, so we better should wait until we reinstall. What do you
think? I lack experience here...

After talking with floeff, we will only convert to lvm when reinstalling.
