Task #1857
closedCreate a UK mailing list
0%
Description
Could mailing list be created please? I think the format is somewhat like this:
discuss@uk.documentfoundation.org
I found Micheal Meeks on the IRC channel, I asked him if there was going to be an event in UK for http://documentfreedom.org/ day. he said it was nice to have someone else in UK. He asked if I could do a UK mailing list to add myself, Michael Meeks and Simon Phipps to start.
I could then have it listed under "United Kingdom" https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Local_Mailing_Lists
I have been told it is better to request a ticket here than to send an email.
I took the liberty of adding Mike Saunders as a watcher, in case he is interested. That would make 4 a good start.

I created the mailing list discuss@uk.libreoffice.org (the NL mailing lists are all subdomains of libreoffice.org).
I'll add all of you as owners and moderators.

Not sure I know what that means: is it some sort of archive? I'll say yes anyway.
Also, it seems that the mailing list sees through my email alias (@member.fsf.org) so might need to register my other address. Or maybe I am not doing aliases properly?

Yes to gmane forum.
I edited the wiki
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Local_Mailing_Lists#English
but one of the mail archive does not exist?

Archives get created with the first message :-)
Seems this issue is resolved - for further questions, mail directly to hostmaster@documentfoundation.org and our infra team will catch up
