Description

I need NL support of the pages in documentation.libreoffice.org, in the same model as the donate website.
So
1) need to add the translation module and
2) then create a snippet to add links to other languages, similar to donate site

As mentioned during the team call, Silverstripe update is a requirement, so it will take a bit

Ping? :)

  • Estimated time set to 4:00 h

deployment stalled since it impacts the backend by swallowing subsiteID query parameter/only using the lang one, needs to be fixed first.

Is that something we can do or (if so, how much time would it take) or is it a Silverstripe bug that upstream need to address?

Talked to Cloph about this - requires manual patching of Silverstripe still, so pending until we've found time to come up with the respective code

Looking at #1701, can this wait until we've rolled out Silverstripe 4, to avoid reinventing the wheel then? The ticket has been around a long time anyways...

We have a crutch in place, until we get SilverStripe 4.0 out...

Is this a feature you will roll out productively from the start, or
would a test VM with SilverStripe 4.0 do it for a start, to not block on
our end?

I overcame the current limitation by setting up the menu bar with languages. Not optimal, but it works

  • Status changed from In Progress to Rejected

From what I remember, Olivier wants to have the documentation page converted/migrated to the extension site, therefore rejecting this ticket
