If you navigate to https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/?lang=pick and look for Guarani, you will see the combination of English–native name as follows:
Guarani Guaraní
However, the correct endonym for Guarani is avañe’ẽ, and not “Guaraní”, which is its Spanish-language name (besides, language names aren’t capitalized in Spanish). So, the page should contain this instead:
Guarani avañe’ẽ

did change - although the used font doens't contain the "ẽ" - so that is used from a fallback of the local system, so might look a little out of place.

You’re right on the font subsetting issue. To me it looks all right but that’s only because I have installed the most recent Lato font locally.
