Description

Currently, the imprint/legal notice link in the bottom right corner of any Gerrit (https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/ ) page reads "impressum (german legal rubbish)", which doesn't sound very professional. It would be better in that respect to convert it to something like the following instead:
- "Imprint" (like on the https://www.documentfoundation.org/imprint site it links to)
- "Impressum (Legal Info)" (like at the bottom of https://www.documentfoundation.org/ and https://www.libreoffice.org/ )

See also https://language-boutique.com/lost-in-translation-full-reader/impressum-or-imprint.html for information.

I’ve pushed a patch: https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/41347

It needs to be merged by an admin. After that, it will be applied once Gerrit gets restarted.

Thanks a lot for your work!
Norbert (shm_get) created the initial patch and maintains our gerrit
instance - I think he should have a look and deploy if he sees fit

Whom of the admins can we ask directly to do that as Norbert don't seems to react?

Hi Florian,
The patch has been in gerrit since August ( https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/41347/ ) causing some controversy.
What should we do about it?
Regards

Being German, I might be quite biased on this topic, as you can imagine...

Best I think is to sync with Thorsten, he has been reviewing the patch
and is a Gerrit user, so I think he's best point of contact. Maybe
discuss offlist first.

GDPR requirements have forced a footer update; the ridiculous wording is now gone.
