I've just tested it again and I still get this message prompted: Could not be saved because source file could not be read

That's very weird. Can you post the output of

wget
http://download.nus.edu.sg/mirror/tdf/libreoffice/stable/5.3.3/deb/x86_64/LibreOffice_5.3.3_Linux_x86-64_deb.tar.gz

This is the output from wget, it tries over and over to download the file:

I only experienced this issue when using Firefox. It works fine for other browsers.

Can you try with safe mode? Works fine for me with Firefox 53 on OS X.

Same problem in Firefox 53.0.2 (64 bits) in safe mode. In Chrome 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit) a file is downloaded but it's corrupted. I'm on Ubuntu 10.10.

Works for me with Firefox 71 on Linux. Anyone still have problems? https://download.nus.edu.sg/mirror/tdf/libreoffice/stable/

[Sorry for the delay, didn't have that on screen.] That mirror was kicked from the list as our probes couldn't make sense of its content. I warned its operators who fixed the config some time later. The mirror is now back on list.
