- Create a wiki page with approved fundraising related materials (in all available languages)
- Launch a "fundraising sprint" based on the announcement of LibreOffice 6.0: "show your support by donating to LibreOffice"

When I scheduled the task we were in the middle of the donation issue, and the date was indeed too aggressive. For a full-fledged donation campaign, we miss too many pieces of the puzzle (we should have the donation theme around almost everywhere, but adding even a small button on our start center raises endless discussions with no results, while WikiMedia Foundation puts a minimum of three donation requests on every Wikipedia page, independently from the language), so looking at a less ambitious objective is probably wise.
On the other hand, we have already implemented some of the ideas I launched at that time, like adding donation-related messages to web properties and blogs. So, smaller tasks are probably easier to achieve that more complex ones like a global donation campaign (once launched, you should find a donation button almost everywhere, as in the case of WikiMedia Foundation).
Some ideas, which are rather easy to transform into actions (for those involving personal data, we should take care of being GDPR compliant): (1) send a "thank you for your donation" email to all donors (extracting emails from PayPal is rather easy, while I don't think is possible for credit cards); (2) after a while, send to all PayPal one-time donors a message explaining them that if they wish they can schedule a recurring donation (maybe, with a short video explaining how to schedule the recurring donation); (3) create a series of web banners which can be used by donors to show their support of the LibreOffice project (we could send them a link to a wiki page with the banners at the end of the "thank you" message); (4) launch the concept of "friends of LibreOffice" (which can be all recurring donors and all one-time donors which exceed a yearly amount, or any other parameter we consider adequate for membership), creating some specific visuals to recognize them (in addition to the web banner, which is easy and doesn't cost anything, maybe a sticker or something similar), but also rewarding them in public at presentations and in videos, and offering them something specific in term of information about LibreOffice (like a webinar on new features for major announcements). I will work on a more structured list.

I think we should simply try and do a couple of things that are not completely controversial.
I would split this into two different bits and pieces actually.
One is campaign-unrelated things like buttons, start center etc.
The other piece is an actual time-limited campaign like our initial "fundraising challenge" with the donation meter, that worked like a charm.
For the scope of this ticket, I'd like us to come up with two or three timelines and topics to put an actual campaign under, in a way we can communicate that to media etc.
So it's more about the message rather than the concrete design
