Can you check if this is doable with the current AskBot already, or if this needs to be developed as a feature? I assume we need to modify some template and poke Evgeny to not overwrite it, but feedback is welcome

Looks like the particular template is in
askbot/templates/feedback.html

and poke Evgeny to
not overwrite it, but feedback is welcome

Sure, that seems sensible.

Cloph: where does the Ask code live? Do we have a local version stored in git?
(If not, perhaps we can use git to store/deploy our local changes?)

Thanks,

Most likely not easy to achieve, as we would have to fork localizations. Best is to poke Evgeny (sent you his contact data) if there's an easy solution to that or if this needs coding work.

Here's the template file for the feedback form on github:
https://github.com/ASKBOT/askbot-devel/blob/760766efb798097892e1118606d2ae78cd4f7276/askbot/templates/feedback.html

Emailing evgeny now re: the best way to factor-out a message or tweak for that page (and still have us be able to use upstream localizations).

Seems to be available now at http://ask.libreoffice.org/settings/FEEDBACK/ - thanks, Evgeny!
It would be good if you, Robinson, can quickly update the text for all locales - thanks!

EN and DE now updated. Having issue with my updates not "sticking" for other locales. Perhaps I don't have enough perms, or something isn't "hooked up" correctly for other langs to allow me to change the values?

Having same issue in Firefox 38.0 and Chrome 41.0.2272.76. Perhaps Evgeny has some insight about the issue? [ I've emailed him ]

I'm still having issues making my changes "stick" for other locales. I edit the textbox, and click the SAVE button, but no success...

It seems to work for me now. Asking Sophie to chase localizations within the NLC teams.
