Bug #922
closedHaving trouble staying logged-in to redmine
0%
Description
in the last hour when I've tried to update various bug reports, I've gotten errors regarding lack of access, and when I check a separate page, I'm inexplicably logged-out. This has happened multiple times.
Not sure what's happening here -- perhaps there's something stale on pages that are open in my browser than then cause a problem when i try to submit form data? I don't think redmine should be acting in this fashion.

Can you try in safe mode and/or with another browser?
Having no problems here at all, using Redmine regularly

Cloph says that redmine has a pretty short "kick-out" time, and I'm probably running into that.
I've often got multiple tickets open in various tabs; sometimes I might have a tab open overnight. I wonder if it's possible for me to click on the 'edit' link and start to make changes to a ticket in my browser, all while the local session sees me as logged-out. In that case, I'd appreciate it if the ticket would prompt me to log back in when I click the edit link.
I'll investigate further, and try out a separate browser if I find that 'fresh' tickets are kicking me off.

12 hours is the current session limit - is that too low?

What's the session limit for Bugzilla? Seems like I'm never logged-out there. I use Bugzilla nearly every day, so having to log in takes additional time away from me getting right to work.

For Redmine, I'll keep a limit - I feel uncomfortable having people stay
logged in all of the time...

bad hack, but possible Robinson Tryon
I use opera12 and I can edit my cookies expirations dates ^^ so i simply set the date to e.g. 1.1.2017 and no longer problems until i clear my browsers cookies....
